Innovation TitleGroundnut inbred variety CG17 for cultivation in low to mid-altitudes in Malawi and Zambia
Innovation description CG17 is an early-maturing Spanish variety that is high-yielding (1.3 to 1.8 mt/ha). This variety demonstrates biotic stress resistance, and produces grain with high protein and digestibility. This variety has been tested in Malawi and Zambia under the AVISA Project, and will potentially contribute to SDG Goals 1 and 2.
