  Activity/Product Description
    
Information on drought tolerance of 25 sorghum lines in the variety/hybrid development pipeline in three agroecologies; Information on tolerance to Striga and drought, and on nutrient uptake in 5100 wild sorghum accessions. Increase in sorghum production and use for different end uses, as farmer-preffered hybrid and OPVs are made available; he NARS will have access to drought tolerant breeding lines and finished products for their breeding programs and and later commercialization. Commercialized cultivars will have better poductivity for food security and income.
