  Activity/Product Description

The main objective of this activity consists to explore and collect the needs of information of various categories of farmers (based on sex and wealth disaggregated data) of beneficiaries’ farmers of the Dryland Development Programme-DryDev (in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger) to increase adoption of improved GLDC varieties in farming system. Specifically, the activity will seek to: (a) understand various categories of farmers’ access to improved GLDC varieties as well as the various components of adoption and (b) identify factors influencing adoption of improved cereals and legumes varieties including the supply factors. The findings and recommendations of the study can inform the formulation of gender-aware dissemination solutions that can be tested to establish a proof of concept on how to address gender dimension in improved varieties adoption.
