  Activity/Product Description
    
(1) Reports documenting specific situations. (2) Feasibility of variety release procedures documented for sorghum in West Africa with an IMOD perspective. (3) Village level farmer groups trained for quality seed production of OPVs and Hybrids. Growth of commercial seed industry and increasing rates of adoption of improved cultivars through enhanced seed production, and dissemination, diversification of superior market-preferred sorghum varieties/hybrids for the Sudan and Guinea Savannah of Nigeria (1) Farmer organizations, research partners and development actors investing in seed sector development will use insights generated for developing and enhancng their seed related activities. Farmers in target region accessing seed of improved varieties and hybrids via identified, newly develop channels. Area under new cultivars increased. (2) Adaptive changes of procedures where appropriate.
