SKiM Knowledge Management Symposium

The Sudan National Technical Committee agreed on a two-day symposium, revolving around Smart Agriculture, Role of ICT in Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services, Communication and Facilitation Skills, Value Chain, Gender Role and Knowledge Sharing, Pandemic and ICT (risk mitigation measures based on KM best practices).



On the days 20 and 21 June 2021, the SKiM Knowledge Management Symposium on enhancing exchange, transfer and collaboration among national stakeholders  was held. The two-days event has followed the workshop formula, and was built on the foundations laid by SKiM Knowledge Management Community of Practice building carried out in 2020, which is consolidated by the Sudan National Technical Committee for KM best practice sharing and development.

The Symposium has revolved around Smart Agriculture, Role of ICT in Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services, Communication and Facilitation Skills, Value Chain, Gender Role and Knowledge Sharing, Pandemic and ICT (risk mitigation measures based on KM best practices). More than ten presentations from just as many trainers have been delivered and discussed among the forty-seven participants.

The event, hosted by the Agricultural Research Corporation of Sudan (ARC-Sudan) and participated by the Sudanese Ministry of Agriculture department representatives and the University of Khartoum (UofK), has been covered by four national television networks and local newspapers.
