WAVES - Working towards Adaptive and Versatile Environmental Sustainability in mollusc aquaculture (WAVES)

The WAVES Consortium aims to enhance the sustainability and climate resilience of mollusc aquaculture in Southeast Asia. Focusing on clams, mussels, and oysters, the project integrates systems mapping, scenario modelling, species diversification, and hatchery development to support food security, livelihoods, and environmental health. Through collaboration with coastal communities and regional experts, WAVES will co-develop context-sensitive roadmaps for expansion, improve seed supply, and build capacity to address climate and disease challenges in this vital low-carbon aquatic food sector.
